Day 2: Early Mornings
I am not a morning person, in any sense. I mean, who wouldn’t love to sleep in after so many long days and late nights? I can count on the fingers and toes of thousands of people the times where I wish I could have hit snooze just once more, or better yet, turn the alarm completely off and go back to slumber land.
However, there is still something about being up before the sun that gives me a sense of peace. Most are still sleeping and things don’t move as fast, which is rare in LA. It gives me the opportunity to speak blessings over my day and set my plans before God almighty who woke me up, as he does each day.
As I get older, the more the saying “the early bird gets the worm” seems to register. There’s so much more that can be accomplished by an early riser than a late one, giving the opportunity to complete tasks and have time to relax and enjoy the remainder of the day. And although I’d much rather sleep in, I am still thankful for early mornings.

I keep telling myself that I’m going to start getting up again before the sun, however; my body has been in disagreement with my mind and heart lol.

Spiritual Warfare

When you “share” yourself with a person of the opposite sex you inherit part of them. When you two become one intimately, you share spirits. More so, women are on the receiving side so that dude you’re giving yourself to is constantly releasing his spirits into you. So if you find that you can’t just “shake” him if the relationship ends it’s because he has given you the spirits housed in him. So don’t think of yourself as weak or dumb on why you can’t “let him go,” just understand you’re now at war with his spirits and as long as you continue to fight and release them you’ll be fine. The key is prayer, faith and courage. -Kat

Perception deception

I would hate to live thru my 20s complaining about things I disliked in my life. Then Make it to my 30s and discover new faults. Enter into my 40s still not satisfied. Just to make it to my 50s to look back and realize I spent my young adult years complaining about things that I finally realized weren’t as bad as I thought they were. Our perception will have us believing things are horrible; our hair isn’t long enough; our bodies aren’t hot enough; and the things we currently have aren’t good enough. Perception is a form of intentional deception. You are expected to find joy in the worse situations because joy lives within. Peace is the goal. -c.kirkpatrick

Get out &vote!!! I did 💋

Get out &vote!!! I did 💋

Can you believe that at one time people were not able to vote?? Our ancestors had to FIGHT & experience brutal treatment such as this in order to be given the opportunity to do so. Today, step back & take a moment to realize how today is a historical breakthrough. Understand that it’s our responsibility as young adults to fight for our future children just as they, on the picture, fought for us. Rocking that “I voted” sticker isn’t just an accessory, it’s deeper than that…🙌📜🇺🇸
